Self-Guided Group Visits

Self-Guided Group visits are for groups and classes who would like to experience the museum at their own pace. All group reservations–including those for Student and Senior tickets–are available exclusively online.

Book your free MOCA GRAND AVE tickets HERE

General Admission to MOCA Grand Ave is free courtesy of Carolyn Clark Powers. Everyone in attendance must have a ticket.

The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA will reopen on October 23, 2025, with MONUMENTS, a specially ticketed exhibition. Tickets for Students and Seniors are $10.00; check this page for availability. Everyone in attendance must have a ticket.

  • Student Groups: Please use the Student price type for ALL guests (Students and Chaperones)

  • Senior Groups: Please use the Senior price type for ALL guests (Seniors and Staff)

We do not offer group discounts for any other groups.

Upon entry, the group leader must present the order confirmation with QR code to the lobby attendant. We require groups of 12+ guests to stagger their entry into the museum and take care not to congregate in galleries or other indoor spaces. For groups of more than 12 people, we kindly ask that you divide your group into smaller subgroups as you move through the galleries.

Backpacks, large bags, and food and drink are never permitted in the galleries. We kindly ask that you leave all backpacks and other bags on the bus if possible. MOCA has limited space to store personal and group items.

MOCA Grand Avenue:

  • Looking to buy lunch? Lemonade is open during regular museum operation hours, located adjacent to the museum entrance. Additional restaurants are located next door at Cal Marketplace.

The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA
