[CANCELLED] Talking Tour

Conversation

Due to evolving conditions in downtown Los Angeles and the proximity of The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA to ongoing demonstrations and military activity near the Los Angeles Federal Detention Facility, the museum has made the decision to adjust its operating hours and event schedule out of concern for the safety of staff and visitors.

MOCA Grand Avenue will be closing at 5pm. Guests with tickets to affected exhibitions and programming will be contacted with options for refunds or rescheduling.

Talking Tours are a great way to connect to contemporary art for free. Each tour is designed to provide visitors with the opportunity to discuss, ask questions, and dive deeper into the works on view. Through these tours, our goal is to engage visitors, while expanding their appreciation and understanding of art.

Talking Tours are led by Olivia Leiter, an artist working in video, writing, and installation. As an educator, she is invested in pedagogy that foregrounds listening, attention, and equity. Olivia has exhibited artwork at Human Resources, The California Museum of Photography, The Echo Park Film Center, JOAN and The Fulcrum Press. Outside of MOCA, her gallery-based education experience includes Hauser and Wirth, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, and the Rose Art Museum in Waltham, MA. Olivia earned a BA in Politics from Brandeis University and MFA from the University of California, Riverside.
