Curator-led walkthrough of Long Story Short

Member Event

All $200 and higher level members and Leadership Circle supporters are invited to a walkthrough of Long Story Short led by Curatorial Assistant Paula Kroll.

Drawing from MOCA’s world-renowned, ever-growing collection, Long Story Short presents artworks dating from the 1940s to the present day that demonstrate the myriad ways contemporary artists have addressed aesthetic, political, and philosophical concerns in the last seventy-five years. This walkthrough will spotlight Bridget Riley, Kiki Smith, Hannah Wilke, and Diedrick Brackens, four artists whose works explore the relationship between the body and artmaking. Representing hallmarks of the museum’s collection as well as recent acquisitions, this selection of works highlights different modes of engaging with topics that relate to bodily experiences, including perception, materiality, representation, and labor.

An invitation with event details will be emailed to members at the $200 level and above. Memberships can be purchased or renewed online. If you would like to upgrade an existing membership, please contact the Membership Department at membership@moca.org.
