Curator-led Walkthrough of Our House: Selections from MOCA's Collection

Member Event Lecture

MOCA members at the Contributing level and above are invited to a walkthrough of Our House: Selections from MOCA’s Collection led by Senior Curator Bennett Simpson. A light breakfast of coffee and pastries will be provided outdoors prior to the tour.

Our House: Selections from MOCA’s Collection features works from the 1950s to the present. Organized as a series of discrete galleries presenting thematic dialogues between artists and artworks, the exhibition departs from conventional art historical narratives to bring forth new and unexpected views of the collection. From depictions of a nation in transition and psychologically charged figurative forms to early experiments in video and a gallery of MOCA’s beloved Mark Rothko paintings, the exhibition celebrates the multiplicity of the museum’s holdings, which now comprise more than 7,200 artworks.

An invitation with event details will be emailed to members at the Contributing level ($200) and above. Memberships can be purchased or renewed online. If you would like to upgrade an existing membership, please contact the Membership Department at membership@moca.org.
