Imagining what the world would be like in 800,000,000 years, I had a wonderful time creating
this work. I hope everyone will enjoy it.

Aya Takano is an artist based in Kyoto and Tokyo, who belongs to Kaikai Kiki, a group
of young artists organized by Takashi Murakami. Takano plays with the concept of Japonisme, while also
incorporating forms and ideas from cartoons, anime, science fiction, and erotic art.
The artist would like to extend special thanks to MOCA, Michael Darling, Takashi Murakami,
Yuichiro Ichige, Yuko Sakata, Rex Ravenelle, and Lisa Mark for making this project possible.
