Book convenient and affordable parking in advance through SpotHero, the nation's leading parking reservations app.Simply visit the MOCA SpotHero parking page and book a spot with rates up to 50% lower than drive-up rates. Metered street parking is available on Grand Ave.Parking is also available at the nearby Walt Disney Concert Hall and Broad Museum as well as public lots on surrounding surface streets. Please note that MOCA is unable to validate parking for any downtown lot.The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA
Visit the MOCA SpotHero parking page and book a spot with rates up to 50% lower than drive-up rates. There is also metered parking available on Temple Street.The entrance to MOCA Grand Avenue is down two flights of stairs at 250 South Grand Avenue.
The entrance to The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA is at 152 North Central Avenue, the doors are accessible from the Aileen Getty Plaza.
All bags will be inspected upon arrival. We reserve the right to prohibit any items and to require visitors to check any bags or items.
The following items are not permitted on Museum property: tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, weapons of any kind, signs, banners, flags, or noisemaking devices.Outside food and drinks are prohibited in the Museum.
MOCA offers a complimentary bag check for your convenience. The following items must be checked: backpacks and large purses, oversized bags, food and drink (including water bottles).

Tickets
Advanced purchase online is required to guarantee Museum entry and to receive key information before your visit. A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase on-site at our ticketing desk, on a first-come, first-served basis.
At MOCA Grand Avenue General Admission is free for all but a ticket is still required.
Yes, you can leave MOCA and come back the same day as long as you keep your ticket.
Guidelines for visiting
Still photography and video are permitted for personal, non-commercial use only unless otherwise noted. Flash, tripods, and camera extension poles are not allowed.
Please admire artwork from a distance, at least an arm’s length and/or respecting any stanchions in place. Touching art, platforms, or cases is not permitted (unless a sign or label indicates otherwise).
Yes, you may sketch or write in the galleries but only with pencil. Please use sketchbooks no larger than 8.5 × 11″ in the galleries.

We recommend bringing headphones for the best quality sound experience.

MOCA Grand Avenue
Located on Bunker Hill, MOCA Grand Avenue is surronded by a variety of eating options. Many restaurants are located next door at Cal Marketplace.
The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA
Visitors can buy lunch across the street in Little Tokyo. There are multiple food options from pastries to onigiri!

Restrooms and amenities
MOCA Grand Avenue
All-gender restrooms are located in the north gallery single restrooms. When the north is closed for exhibition installation and de-installation all-gender restrooms are unavailable.
You can find water fountains outside of restroom locations.

All the restrooms are all-gender at the Geffen.

There are changing tables in all of the large shared bathrooms. Stall restrooms that have a changing table have signage.
Yes. We have free MOCA WiFi available to all visitors at MOCA Grand Avenue and The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA.
Visiting with children
Yes. At MOCA Grand Avenue, stop by our Kid Corner, a sensory-rich area for toddler minds and hands, downstairs in the Reading Room.MOCA Family Guides provide bilingual access to MOCA exhibitions for young visitors and their families. Follow activity prompts to look, discuss, sketch, write, and noodle your way through MOCA’s galleries.
Pick up your own Family Guide in English or Spanish at the front desk at MOCA Grand Avenue and during special exhibitions at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA.Check our Events Calendar for drop-in and other family programs for kids of all ages.
Strollers are welcome and available for check-out at the reception and lobby desks, but young children may not be carried on shoulders. Pick up a Family Guide in the lobby to explore the exhibitions together with kids, and visit the Reading Room downstairs for an exhibition-related art activity.
No. Please leave scooters at home. We cannot store them in our checkroom.
Accessibility
Wheelchairs are available for use free of charge at the reception or lobby desks. Just check in with a MOCA Gallery Attendant when you arrive to MOCA.

ADA service animals are welcome in our galleries. Please note that pets and emotional support animals are not permitted.
At MOCA Grand Avenue, The Reading Room can be a quiet space for relaxation, but it can also become busy. Please read our Social Access Guide created for families with neurodivergent children but useful for all.

Groups and Tours
Yes, MOCA educators are available to provide guided tours of MOCA. Tours can be customized to provide a general overview of the Museum or focus on a current exhibition.
