About the Web Site

To promote further engagement with MOCA’s permanent collection, Collection: MOCA’s First Thirty Years is augmented by this educational mini-site. Featuring 100 artworks from the exhibition, each accompanied by a brief explanatory text and an artist’s quote, the site contextualizes these key works among the major movements of the postwar period and provides an intimate and enlightening view into the artists’ intentions and inspirations.

Site concept and design by Bret Nicely, web initiatives manager. Artist entries edited by Elizabeth Hamilton, editor. Editorial and creative assistance by Cristin Donahue, writer/editor; Suzanne Isken, director of education; and Lisa Gabrielle Mark, director of publications. Exhibition identity by Nicholas Lowie, senior designer. Web programming and development by Mark Miller of Swoon Dot Net.
