For two seasons, No Sesso’s New York Fashion Week shows have received acclaim for bringing a fresh energy to the official schedule, showcasing a new perspective on garments made for all bodies and identities, and celebrating the community that powers the brand by putting them front and center—both on the runway and behind-the-scenes. Now, No Sesso and its co-founders, Pierre Davis and Arin Hayes, are bringing their show back to their city of Los Angeles for Autumn/Winter 2020 with a collection titled “A Vignette of the Renaissance on 24th Street."
This show is for the community that has always supported them, rallied around them, and shown up for them, with entry being open to the public to view. “A Vignette of the Renaissance on 24th Street” will be showcased in a blended runway show and performance piece at WAREHOUSE at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, with an artisanal collection designed and created by Pierre Davis and Autumn Randolph that is wholly made in Los Angeles. The collection includes pieces that have been up-cycled from Davis' and Randolph's personal closets and archives, and was inspired by the house and neighborhood that it was made in. Every piece has been hand-sewn, with a renewed focus on the art and conceptual design that has always been a part of the brand’s core. No Sesso will also release a special capsule collection of merchandise in collaboration with MOCA, which will be available for purchase directly through the museum following the show.
Priority tickets are available to MOCA members at any time on the day of the program. Thirty minutes before the program begins tickets will be released to non-members. One ticket per person on a first come, first served basis. Early arrival is recommended.
