Selections from the Permanent Collection

This rich, yet concise, chronological presentation of key contemporary artworks provided an overview of some of the museum's most significant holdings, including a number of the earliest works in the collections as well as some of the most recent. Richard Artschwager, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alberto Giacometti, Robert Gober, Arshile Gorky, Anselm Kiefer, Barbara Kruger, Louise Nevelson, Robert Rauschenberg, Laurie Simmons, and Cy Twombly were represented.

Selections from the Permanent Collection was co-organized by Elizabeth T. Smith, Associate Curator, and Stacia Payne, National Endowment for the Arts Curatorial Fellow, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.
