The eighteen large-scale, mechanical sculptures in Rebecca Horn: Diving through Buster's Bedroom could be viewed as standalone works, but each related in some way to the German artist’s newly released feature film Buster’s Bedroom (1990), which screened alongside the exhibition. Some were props in the movie; others referenced ideas and characters in it.
The exhibition was accompanied by a catalogue.
Rebecca Horn: Diving through Buster's Bedroom was organized by Elizabeth A. T. Smith, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.
