Sept 25, 1994 – Jan 8, 1995
When
September 25, 1994 – January 8, 1995

Works by seven young Los Angeles-based artists who explore the territory where art meets everyday life. Their artworks which include painting, sculpture, photography, works on paper, and video, blur the boundaries that have traditionally distinguished art from craft, architecture, design, documentation and vernacular culture, and play with the conventional subjects, functions, and expectations, for works of art.

Artists: Richard Hawkins, T. Kelly Mason, Jorge Pardo, Sarah Seager, Thaddeus Strode, Diana Thater, and Pae White.

Pure Beauty: Some Recent Work from Los Angeles was organized by Ann Goldstein, and Stacia Payne, Curatorial Assistant, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.
