The Temporary Contemporary

The largest festival in the country devoted to the presentation of new music, was hosted in LA in its seventh edition. The citywide festival featured a mix of styles and performances with hundreds of composers and musicians. Two sound installations by Michael Galasso and Michael Brewster took place at MOCA's Temporary Contemporary. Brewster's work was called An Exit to Sculpture and Galasso created Sound Magnet, a pre-recorded tape installation of his music.

The sound installations were organized by Julie Lazar, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.

The Temporary Contemporary is the original name of The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA.
