The exhibition featured selected works from a recent gift of six shadow-box constructions and fifteen collages by Joseph Cornell given to MOCA by the Joseph and Robert Cornell Memorial Foundation. The chosen works were presented in a single-gallery installation and contextualized by other pieces from the collection, including those by George Herms, Louise Nevelson, Richard Prince, and James Rosenquist.

Joseph Cornell: Connections to the Permanent Collection was organized by Brent Zegner, Assistant Director of Experimental Programs, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.
