Conceptual artist Doug Huebler produced a series of comic strips for the popular entertainment newspaper LA Weekly. The project, Crocodile Tears, comprised ten comic strips published in ten issues of the paper between June 1983 and August 1984.
The exhibition was accompanied by a catalogue.
Crocodile Tears was part of In Context (1984–1985), a series of exhibitions that commissioned artists to develop critical spatial interventions in creative or unusual sites.
