The Temporary Contemporary
In 1985–1986, the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida, organized the first major American traveling exhibition of works by Italian artist Francesco Clemente. The exhibition featured eighty-six works including paintings, gouaches, and pastels, and subsequently traveled to several major US museums.
The exhibition was accompanied by a catalogue.
The Temporary Contemporary was the original name of The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA.
