The single-gallery exhibition comprised a zigzagging aluminum bracket mounted several inches above the ground, a sliding, 9-foot library ladder attached to a bar on a wall, two holes in that wall, two wheeled boxes against the opposite wall, and medical text inscribed on all four.
The exhibition was accompanied by an artist's book.
Focus Series: Margaret Honda: Recto Verso was part of the museum’s Focus Series (1992–1998), which was dedicated to presentations of distinct bodies of work by artists working in all media and featured a roster of distinguished local and international artists.
