September 16, 1989 – February 11, 1990
The exhibition assembled nineteen works by thirteen artists from MOCA's permanent collection and selected other lenders. The works spanned the generations of artists who shared qualities including Minimalism's formal, serial, and spatial concerns; Pop Art's everyday images; and Conceptual Art’s analytic investigations. Included was the work of Carl Andre, Richard Artschwager, Scott Burton, Anthony Caro, Donald Judd, Sol LeWitt, John McCracken, Robert Morris, Richard Nonas, Dennis Oppenheim, Joel Shapiro, Andy Warhol, and Jackie Winsor.
FLOORWORKS was organized by Ann Goldstein, Assistant Curator, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.
