This exhibition surveys David Hockney’s photographic practice between the 1960s and 1990s. David Hockney Photoworks Retrospective presents selections from over one hundred and fifty albums of works by the British-born, LA-based artist. Works include Prehistoric Museum Near Palm Springs, Sept. 1982, Sun on the Pool Los Angeles April 13th 1982, Henry Cleaning his Glasses Los Angeles March 20th 1982, Pearblossom Hwy., 11–18th April, 1986 #1, David Hockney and Karen Kuhlman Looking at Photographs of Yorkshire, 1993; and others.
David Hockney Photoworks Retrospective arrives at MOCA at the end of a 2-year tour with stops in Austria, Italy, France, Wales, Sweden, and Finland.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue.
