Presenting works created during the 1980s from MOCA's permanent collection, the exhibition examined several complementary and contrary trends that characterized that vital decade of aesthetic exploration and interrogation. The exhibition included works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Eric Fischl, Anselm Kiefer, Barbara Kruger, Sherrie Levine, Robert Longo, David Salle, Cindy Sherman, and Christopher Wool.
