Artist’s Gifts: Michael Asher

In 2006, Michael Asher made a gift to MOCA of thirty-seven works from his personal collection, one of the largest gifts from an artist in the museum's history. Spanning the late 1940s to the early 1970s, many of the works were produced or exhibited in Los Angeles. The exhibition features selections from this donation, including key works by Larry Bell, Vija Celmins, Judy Chicago, Joe Goode, Al Hansen, Donald Judd, Ken Price, Man Ray, Mason Williams, among others.
