The first major presentation of Pettibon’s drawings and books featured the work of this acclaimed Southern California-based contemporary artist who uses drawing as his primary medium. More than 500 examples of his drawings made during the last two decades are included. Organized by the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago, it traveled to The Renaissance Society, University of Chicago; The Drawing Center, New York; and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
