The 1990s were a rough time in Los Angeles, marked by AIDS, record homicides, a recession, the unrest spurred by Rodney King’s beating, the Northridge earthquake, and Prop 187. But fears that the city was about to break inspired unprecedented levels of creativity, growth, and civic engagement. Inspired by the exhibitionDon’t Look Back: The 1990s at MOCA, a panel of L.A. observers asks: How might we recapture that ’90s spirit? This program inaugurates a quarterly collaboration between Zócalo Public Square and MOCA.

Priority tickets are available to MOCA members one hour before the program at the MOCA Box Office. Fifteen minutes before the program begins tickets will be released to non-members. One ticket per person on a first come, first served basis. Early arrival is recommended.
