In tandem with the exhibitionReal Worlds: Brassaï, Arbus, Goldin, Los Angeles–based artist Matt Lipps will lead a workshop to make two- and three-dimensional photo collages inspired by the historical use of collage in political propaganda, absurdist strategies found in Surrealism and Dada, and methods of appropriation used by the 1970s-era Pictures Generation.
Sunday Studio is MOCA’s free, drop-in event featuring art experiences for makers of all ages and experience levels. Programs include family-friendly tours in the museum, art-making explorations, music, and Toddler Town, a space with activities designed for small hands. Join the fun!
