Store Pop-Up: Tortoise General Store

​Tortoise, opened in Venice in 2003 by wife-and-husband team Keiko and Taku Shinimoto, is known for its masterful displays of Japanese products, from highly sought-after Hasami Porcelain tableware to TRAVELER’S notebooks and writing supplies. For this pop-up, The MOCA Store at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA transforms into a Zakka-style shop, a Japanese design phenomenon referring to objects that improve your home, life, and appearance. Keeping with Tortoise’s basic philosophy of providing services, not just products, selected workshops and presentations will be offered.
