Thurmon Green makes music that is described as smooth and seductive; he was identified as a “singular voice in subversive, edgy pop” by The Fader magazine. Drawing from ‘90s R&B influences such as Anita Baker, or cellist-composer Arthur Russell, Green works within the framework of a progressive queer community. Having recently returned to his hometown of Los Angeles, Green brings his sound to MOCA to continue the series of Listening Sessions presented as part ofLauren Halsey: we still here, there.
