In Session invites visitors to engage with readings, film/video and writing activities that relate to current exhibitions and are meant to generate self-reflection and group discussion.
This In Session will focus on Sawako Goda, who currently has work on view in In These Times: Recent Acquisitions at MOCA. Capacity is limited to 15 people. In Session is organized by MOCA Education.
Sawako Goda made lyrical drawings with colored pencils inserted between her toes. The swirls, knots, and serpentine lines, vivid in color and rhythmic in pattern, evoke the automatic, free drawing of the Surrealists.
