Bennett Simpson and John Geresi in Conversation

​Join MOCA Senior Curator Bennett Simpson and Pesce collector and scholar John Geresi for a walkthrough ofGaetano Pesce: Molds (Gelati Misti). This exhibition presents a selection of cast-resin objects by the internationally lauded Italian artist. Focusing on Pesce’s well-known vases, the exhibition also includes a selection of chairs, lamps, and two-dimensional cast-resin reliefs that the artist calls “industrial skins.” Simpson and Geresi discuss Pesce’s long involvement with resin, molds, and casting techniques, and the playful eccentricities of his aesthetic.
