Seatings 6:30pm and 9:30pm
Thursday, Friday, Saturday

MOCA presents wolvesmouth : taxa, a pop-up, full-sensory dining experience created by chef Craig Thornton. Using The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA as the dinner’s location, Thornton is able to break away from the conventional presentation of dining in a restaurant setting and imagine the experience in a new way. By exploring the interface between food and art, Thornton serves an artist-driven experience that combines the underground, high-end supper club with elements of an avant-garde art project. The experience extends beyond the food at the dinner, with each sensory element of the night thoughtfully created by the chef. Expanding what a 21st-century museum’s program looks like, MOCA is thrilled to welcome wolvesmouth : taxa and explore the places where design, fashion, music, performance, food, and art collide.

Thornton started cooking 14 years ago with the sole goal of marrying all senses. Wolvesmouth was created with the simple idea of connecting people through a shared experience, in this case a dinner party. Aside from weekly dinners, the larger vision of Wolvesmouth developed to include the building of environments in which these experiences would exist, culminating in the large-scale installations Thornton has created over the last several years. Aiming to stimulate all senses, wolvesmouth : taxa at MOCA is an evening of food that correlates with visual and sound elements specifically created for the space.

Two seatings per night will be available on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays starting on March 19, 2016 at 6:30pm and 9:30 pm, *with the exception of Friday, April 30, 2016 and Thursday, May 12 through Saturday, May 14, 2016.
