Spotlighting Grand Avenue’s status as a vibrant, world-class arts destination, 11 cultural organizations along the arts-centric stretch of Bunker Hill in downtown Los Angeles present a free one-day cultural event on Grand Avenue between Temple and Sixth Street, featuring performances, exhibitions, behind-the-scenes tours, and interactive, family-friendly activities. Participating institutions include The Broad museum, Center Theatre Group, Colburn School, Grand Park, LA Opera, Los Angeles Central Library, Los Angeles Master Chorale, Los Angeles Philharmonic, MOCA, The Music Center and REDCAT.

MOCA Schedule:

10AM-5PM
PERMANENT COLLECTION TOURS
Educator-led tours throughout the day, giving guests the chance to take a deeper look at MOCA Chief Curator Helen Molesworth’s rehang of the permanent collection The Art of Our Time. Tours begin on the hour between 10am and 5pm, final tour at 4pm.

10AM-5PM
KCHUNG LIVE MUSIC AND PROGRAMS
Enjoy family friendly DJ sets with KCHUNG on the sculpture plaza. Sets will be broadcast live and visitors will be invited to interact with KCHUNG’s artist-programmers.

11AM-6PM
Food/Drink
Visit Lemonade at MOCA for food, lemonade, beer, and wine.

Located on the plaza level, see Noah Davis: Imitation of Wealth, an installation initially mounted at Davis’s The Underground Museum and on view at storefront: an initiative that invites local artists to program The Marcia Simon Weisman Works on Paper Study Center.
