MOCA brings leading artists, curators, critics, writers, and others to the museum for talks and walkthroughs of current exhibitions as well as special slide lectures in Ahmanson Auditorium. These informal, multi-disciplinary, and fascinating presentations are generally held on Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons.

DENNIS HOPPER AND BRUCE CONNER: THE NONCONFORMISTS

In conjunction with Dennis Hopper Double Standard, join MOCA for a conversation exploring artist Bruce Conner's relationship with longtime friend and collaborator Dennis Hopper. Barbara Steffen, an independent curator currently organizing a Conner exhibition at Kunsthalle, Vienna, will moderate a discussion with Toni Basil, who was featured in Conner's film Breakaway (1966) and Hopper's Easy Rider (1969); Michael Kohn, a gallerist who has represented Conner for many years; and Conner's film editor Michelle Silva.
