The Experimental Exercise of Freedom: Lygia Clark, Gego, Mathias Goeritz, Hélio Oticica, and Mira Schendel featured approximately one hundred works that highlight the contributions made by these artists to Latin American art between the 1950s and 1970s. Co-curated by Alma Ruiz and Ahmanson Curatorial Fellow Rina Carvajal, the exhibition explored how each artist creates participatory and transformative environments for the viewer.
