Robert Irwin
Jun. 20-Aug.15, 1993
-
Robert Irwin was curated by Kerry Brougher and Richard Koshalek. The first comprehensive retrospective of Irwin's career, the exhibition included thirty-five paintings and sculptures created between the late 1950s and the early 1970s, two new works created in the spirit of works of the 1970s, and a specially-commissioned installation representing his current interest in site-determined environmental work. The exhibition traveled to the Kölnischer Kunstverein, Mar. 15-May 15, 1994; Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Jun. 22-Sept. 30, 1994; and Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofìa, Madrid, Jan. 31-Apr. 17, 1995.
