The Hammer Museum at UCLA will reinterpret Museum Portraits (1977), an unrealized Happening conceived by Kaprow. Museum staff will move their desk chairs outside to the sidewalk along the exterior wall of the museum. Initially conceived for the Hamburger Kunsthalle in Germany, yet never realized, this Happening invites museum staff to arrange a chair and sit at sites in and around the museum.
