Pre-Labor Day Lecture and Rally

FRIDAY MARCH 28, 5–7pm
Occidental College, Weingart Patio (in front of main entrance)
1600 Campus Rd., Los Angeles
Prof. Folland talks about Allan Kaprow, the man, the artist, the
icon that pushed the artistic envelope in the 60s and 70s by inventing
‘Happenings’ – a new conceptual art form in which everyday action
replaced the ‘object’ of traditional art, and paved the way for Fluxus,
Installation, and Performance art.
Pizzas will be served, t-shirts will be silkscreened (bring a white
shirt!), music and dancing will most likely occur. Overall fun will be
had.
And find out about the actual HAPPENING (Labor Day, 1971) happening
Saturday, March 29 at Occidental and around Los Angeles.. and how YOU
can participate.
