The Hammer Museum at UCLA will reinterpret Museum Portraits (1977), an unrealized Happening conceived by Kaprow. Museum staff will move their desk chairs outside to the sidewalk along the exterior wall of the museum. For one hour, they will initiate conversations about art, Kaprow, museums, and other related issues amongst themselves and with random passersby.
