Curators Lecture Series: Lynne Cooke

Lecture

Curator Lynne Cooke is currently organizing a group exhibition about the fertile exchange between mainstream and self-taught artists in 20th- and 21st-century America, offering a historically grounded analysis of the fraught concept of “outsider” art. Senior curator of special projects in modern art at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., Cooke has organized major exhibitions of the work of Cristina Iglesias, Rosemarie Trockel, Blinky Palermo, Francis Alÿs, Zoe Leonard, and Richard Serra. Her lecture is part of MOCA’s series focused on the work of contemporary curators.

Priority tickets are available to MOCA members one hour before the program at the MOCA Box Office. Fifteen minutes before the program begins tickets will be released to non-members. One ticket per person on a first come, first served basis. Early arrival is recommended.
