The Social Landscape: Selections from the Ralph M. Parsons Foundation Photography Collection

The Social Landscape: Selections from the Ralph M. Parsons Foundation Photography Collection presents works by Diane Arbus, Danny Lyon, and Garry Winogrand. A 1995 acquisition by The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, the collection includes over 2,000 works assembled by Robert Freidus, a leading New York dealer and collector. Included in the forty-one black-and-white photographs on display is a selection of prints from Winogrand's series Women are Beautiful (c. 1975), shot in and around New York City.
